I am and I already know why!

As a follow up to Are You Curious Why Today is Pay It Forward Friday? {PayItForward} which was started yesterday (Friday), but completed today (Saturday), but thought it was okay to post as it was still Friday in the States!

Are you confused?

So was I!

Let’s start focused on my 16 Reasons Why Food Will Cause You To Smile Today!

In light of “recent events,” I greatly appreciated the bonding, guidance, mentoring and support of food bloggers around the world!

There were many and as you know by know, I don’t play favorites, but want to thank each of these food bloggers even if it’s a small gesture to Pay it Forward today!

First of all, I love putting collages together; I always have even as a small child growing up in New York.

My homework could never be “boring or plain” and I probably drove myself and some of my teachers insane; in a fun way!

I always think it’s fun to be memorable and as my friends know, “always expect the unexpected” with me!

Just the other day I was talking with friends and discovering what other people are superstitious of.

I was curious as we are leaning toward Halloween; probably one of the most superstitious worldwide holidays!

While I did not previous think of myself as superstitious, it was only over discussions that um, well, some of what I do “could be” perceived as superstitious!

When I am in the local shops, the assistants know if I like a shirt, I buy 2 or 4 and with pants to same!

I laughed off this perceived superstition as I detest shopping “to the umpteenth degree”; food shopping is different.

If there is a pair of pants they “eventually” fit, what colors do they come in and “even numbers” always come home with me!

Recently, a local food store assistant laughed as when we both viewed my shopping trolley, I had 2 of this and 4 of that….mmmmmmmm, maybe I am superstitious; in a fun sort of way!

When I head over to Ribbet, a very easy online photo editor that creates these wonderful collages, I had the choice of how many photos I would like to highlight and noticed there were in 3, 6, 9, 12 (that’s an even number)!

I then thought 16 would make me more comfortable!

Why?

I have no clue and if you figure it out, you can let me know too!

All of these recipes have been pinned, as Pinterest to me is one big happy place to create one’s one collage as Boards, Pins, re-pins etc.; sort of like a collage not only of one’s blog, but in support for others too!

I do hope you take the time to visits these wonderful blogger’s recipes and have I mentioned I LOVE being pinned too; in a fun sort of way!

Started from top left to right, can Shari from Pure Grace Farms Garden Fresh Corn Chowder get any more enticing?

With a joyful tear in my eye, it brought back memories of my last trip to the states visiting grandparents and finding “the best corn chowder” (and hushpuppies) in Rhode Island; we all wanted to lick the bowl clean!

Thank you Shari for making me smile today!

Let’s just say I am a BIG fan of Maureen from Orgasmic Chef and when i saw her Chicken and Brie Puff Pastry Parcels, I, um, well, honestly could smell them through the screen and S-Q-U-E-A-L-E-D!!!

Like for Maureen she lives interstate in Australia and I doubt my SQUEAL would have traveled THAT far; but you never know as my SQUEALS have been heard by MANY people worldwide too!

Who wants to make these NOW?

I have a fascination for all thing Egyptian and have an affinity to the country, people and food?

Wasn’t it recently I share my lifelong crush with my post that would heighten anyone’s romantic mood?

When I saw Sawsan from Chef in Disguise‘s Egyptian fava beans and her dip (Egyptian Bessara), I know not only was it “on the list,” but I wanted to share it today in support for all Sawsan does too!

Psst, here’s a little secret!

When I saw Heidy from The McCallum’s Shamrock‘s Bock Beer Onion Soup Gratinee, I started to salivated as psst, here’s a secret….I used to be a “beer from around the world connoisseur” and was a “Bock beer fan!”

These days as you know, I am a “loyal and supportive” connoisseur of South Australia red wines!

I loved Kc from The Kitchen Chopper‘s Fig, Delicata, Eggplant, Quinoa Baked Chopped!

What a great combination of healthy ingredients, eh?

I thought my day could use a bit of Olé, so when I saw Nancy from Skinny Kitchen‘s Mexican Cobb Salad, So Deliciously Satisfying and Low in Calories, I knew I wanted to share this today!

I LOVE Cobb salads and they seem to also be a very American thing; perhaps it is just me!

I have featured Patty from Cooking On A Budget‘s Long Island Broiled Oysters, but seeing I am feeling “a nostalgic New Yorker” today, I can say I am still craving some of these!

They so remind me of childhood where oysters were always a treat and something I always had at a restaurant!

Isn’t Natasha from Natasha in Oz‘s Jam & Coconut Slice more than very nice?

Not only is it “warm and welcoming,” but would be the perfect dessert to enjoy while having a chat over coffee or tea?

Perhaps when I visit, Natasha will make these for me?

I love how Priya from Priya’s Versatile Recipes tempted me with her Galaktoboureko/Greek Custard Filled Phyllo Pastry!

Hands up, would would like to try some of this right now?

FANG must be hungry! AGAIN!

Has anyone NOT ever made carrot cake?

If not, Nettie from Moore Or Less Cooking Food Blog‘s Carrot Cake I would recommend to put on your list to bake!

I loved how Nettie shared that baking this cake brought back special memories for her; head over and have a read!

Apologies to April from April J. Harris of the 21st Century Housewife as when I saw her Pasta alla Norma My Way, I was immediately to the Fusilli Lunghi (curly spaghetti)!

I know, HOW old am I?

I thought it was special that April did it her way and am proud to share her recipe today!

One could not be a more prouder Texan than Joy from Yesteryear, so there was no way, I was going passed her Mama’s Texas Sheet Cake to in turn share with you!

Pumpkin, pumpkin everywhere, not enough to eat was a childhood song I used to sing!

You CAN now image what Janelle from Bakesinslipper‘s Dial Up and Sweet Potato Pie brings!

Last but not least, I would like to wish Sandi from A New York Foodie a Happy Rosh Hashanah!

I love kugel and as you know I recently made Noodle Pudding aka kugel too!
